Nido Marketing is Hiring!

Executive Director

Who we are:

Nido Marketing is an agency built by Montessorians, for Montessorians. Our goal is to bring digital marketing services and training to Montessori schools in an affordable and accessible way. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to attend a Montessori school. Together, by increasing their online visibility and improving their messaging and communication, we are able to connect each school with more prospective students and families.

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for an Executive Director.

More specifically, we’d like to find someone with a Montessori administrator background who also happens to be exceptionally tech savvy and comfortable with digital marketing tools and strategies. We will provide training, but it’s important that you come equipped with enough background knowledge to feel comfortable learning the new skills and proficiencies necessary for the position.

Please keep in mind that the majority of the actual technical work will be done by our marketing team. The Executive Director’s job is to act as a strategist for the organization as well as the first interface with prospective clients.

The Executive Director will:

  • Consult with prospects on best practices, make recommendations for their marketing (including websites, content, social media campaigns, paid traffic campaigns, etc.), and guide them toward solutions that best suits their needs.
  • Support our community through online webinars, coaching calls, and content creation.
  • Drive strategy for Nido Marketing, including looking for new ways to connect with schools.
  • Lead our team of exceptional support and technical experts.

This unique mix of right brain (client relationship building and management) and left brain (strategy and data analysis) skills makes this a unique and multi-faceted position.

There’s also an element of consultative selling associated with the position. New prospects approach Nido Marketing all the time and you’ll be tasked with connecting with them, learning about their situation, and making recommendations based on what you think they need.

Salary: $75K per year

The ideal candidate:

  • Montessori Experience: We would like to continue our "for Montessorians, by Montessorians" approach to marketing and would strongly prefer candidates with the ability to understand where our customers are coming from. Former Admissions Directors are particularly well suited.
  • Tech Savvy: Experience with online technology is a prerequisite for this position. The ideal candidate will have had experience in making changes and updates to websites, setting up and using a CRM, configuring email marketing campaigns, etc.
  • Consulting: You excel at relationship building. You need to be a person who cares deeply about helping schools succeed. That means managing expectations, being clear in your communication, and being willing to guide them toward solutions that best suits their needs. You are great at explaining technical ideas to non-technical people.
  • Strategy: You love keeping up with digital marketing trends. Your job is to drive strategy for Nido Marketing, including looking for new ways to connect with schools.

Our values:

Truth: Everything we do requires a commitment to truth as the core principle and foundation of our company. We are data-driven marketers; data is truth. If something isn’t working, we tell the client. If we make a mistake, we’re the first to bring it up and we own it. If we don’t know the answer to something, we admit it readily (and then work to figure it out!). If we disagree, we say so. Truth is the first and most important step to solving any problem.

Responsibility: How do we do more? How do we give more? How do we help each other? Responsibility requires us to constantly look for opportunities to go further. We don’t try to get out of work, we lean into it. You’ll never hear us say, “That’s not my job.” By being proactive with our skillset, we place ourselves in a position to influence the world around us in a way that only those who understand true responsibility ever can.

Heart: It’s not enough to simply do. You also have to care. You have to care about your clients, your team mates, and yourself. You have to work like it matters, like what you’re doing means something. You need to know that you’re making an impact and understand that there are people relying on you to do what’s best for them. In some cases, these people wouldn’t know the difference, which makes it even more important. We are offered a sacred trust in helping people grow their schools, so we treat their businesses as our own.

Why you shouldn’t apply:

While we would love to have as many qualified applicants as possible, we also believe in transparency and managing expectations. To that end, please allow us to offer up a few reasons as to why we might not be the best fit for everyone:

  • This is a remote (work from home) position. Please make sure you’re comfortable working in a remote environment and have the at-home infrastructure necessary to support that type of working situation.
  • This will be a contract based (1099) role. This is a very different setup than being a W2 employee which is what most people are used to.
  • Regrettably, we aren’t in a position to offer health insurance benefits due to the size of our company and the fact that our staff isn’t centrally located.

To apply:

If you're interested, please submit the following:

  • Your resume in PDF format
  • Any specific details regarding your experience and how you think it might be applicable to the role
  • Your answer to this question: if you were an animal, what animal would you be and why?
  • Your answer to this question: What does this quote mean to you personally? "Work is love made visible" - Khalil Gibran

Submissions should go to: camille+director@nidomarketing.com

I’m happy to answer any questions you may include in your application.

Thank you for your consideration!
