Google Alerts & Google Maps | News You Can Use 2/22/2018

We had a great time at the AMI Refresher Course last weekend and enjoyed visiting with several of you.  We learned a lot about the different issues facing schools all around the country, which will help refine the services we provide to our members.

Three tips for you this week:
 
  1. Do you use Google alerts?  This nifty, free tool helps me stay in the loop about any specific search term of interest (for example "Sacramento Montessori" for me).  Once set up, I receive an email anytime that search term is triggered by a news article, blog post or other content.  No more searching the web to see what is happening for important issues that affect your school!  You can read a comprehensive blog post with step-by-step instructions on how to set it up on the Nido Marketing blog here.

  2. New course alert!  Kasim, my Nido co-founder, just released a new video course on how to use Google Maps on your school website.  An optimized Google Maps listing is essential for you to be found by parents in your local community.  This course is available to Plane 2 subscribers and above.  Log on to the "courses" section to start this class today.

  3. Finally - please do download the social posts for the month of March and plan out your Facebook (or other social media) schedule.  You don't have to struggle anymore to find content to share - we have done it for you, with a listing of article, quotes, and items of interest about Montessori and child development.
